What's A Metanarrative?

In critical theory, and particularly postmodernism, a metanarrative (sometimes master- or grand narrative) "is a global or totalizing cultural narrative schema which orders and explains knowledge and experience".[1] The prefix meta means "beyond" and is here used to mean "about", and a narrative is a story. Therefore, a metanarrative is a story about a story. The term is best known for its use by Jean-Francois Lyotard in the following quotation: "Simplifying to the extreme, I define postmodern as incredulity towards metanarratives".[2] By this, Lyotard meant that the postmodern condition is characterized by an increasingly widespread skepticism toward metanarratives, such as the unique status of the individual, the boundedness of information, and the march of progress, that are thought to have given order and meaning to Western thought during modernity. A metanarrative can include any grand, all-encompassing story, classic text, or archetypal account of the historical record. They can also provide a framework upon which an individual's own experiences and thoughts may be ordered. These grand, all-encompassing stories are typically characterized by some form of 'transcendent and universal truth' in addition to an evolutionary tale of human existence (a story with a beginning, middle and an end). This is a web site exploring the prophetic mysteries of the 'End of the Age' (EOTA) and the 'Gospel of the Kingdom' (GOTK). Our particular interest and focus is the 'revealing of the sons of God'. Why? Because this is the defining event of the end of the age. The Christian Bible makes this remarkable statement, "The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed" (Rom 8:19). Wow! Do you understand that? All of creation is eagerly anticipating a single transforming event! Take a moment to absorb that claim. It would make for spectacular science fiction if it were not true. This 'revealing' event is the formal beginning of the EOTA. These 'sons' are the managers, you could even say the 'causers', of the end of the age. Needless to say, this 'management' job will require diverse qualities and diligent preparation. Prophecy is challenging for a number of reasons, but we will do our best to reduce these concepts to the beautiful building blocks of truth. And while there is so much to learn, a child's faith will be more advantageous than a scholars library. Perhaps both would be ideal. Please be persistent. The EOTA is for the faithful and the forceful. This website is for those who want to participate in the EOTA, not watch from a distance. Father Abraham's World

Have you noticed that the three most influential religions in the world today are connected to Abraham? Abraham is humanities connection to God. When the dust settles, after the age of faith, everyone on earth, everyone alive, will be a 'spiritual' son of Abraham. Many will also be physical descendants of Abraham. Could everyone be both? That is an idea for a Hollywood blockbuster someone should write. The story of how God is populating the world with the physical descendants of Abraham is a great mystery yet to unfold. At the heart of this mystery is the issue of the 'lost tribes of Israel'. One of the Jewish researchers doing valuable work on this topic is Yair Davidiy. Davidiy has been researching the distribution of the lost ten tribes for many years. This is distinctly different from the more common effort today to identify lost Jewish populations (which descended from Judah, the southern tribes). This is one of the most prophetically (and politically) explosive events to confront the modern world. This is a very timely, yet unknown, issue. His book "JUDAH'S SCEPTRE AND JOSEPH'S BIRTHRIGHT" (185 pages in PDF) is an, "Analysis of the Prophecies of the Scriptures in regard to the Royal Family of Judah and the Many Nations of Israel, the Lost Ten Tribes", originally published, 1902. Nineteenth Edition. Re-typeset, A.D. 2000. It's a classic written in 1902; hard to read but well worth it. The Enemy within - Islam and Western Civilization

The article below, written by a Russian journalist, pictures the contest between the West and Islam as a clash of someone suicidal being confronted by someone intent on murdering him. There is no contest; they both agree on the outcome! (One party dies) He contends that the West's postmodern liberals hate their own society as much as Islam does. He states, It is difficult to find more hatred of the West, than in the West itself. What is this phenomenon of self-hate? How can we explain it? It would be easy to look at the growing scourge of liberalism and conclude that it is the cause of America's and the West's maladies. But if we're honest we will look a little deeper. We will see that liberalism is not really the cause; it's more of a symptom. It's a complex issue that shouldn't be over-simplified but for the sake of time I'll just offer a few insights. The soul of America is the Church. America was founded and blessed to advance the kingdom of God. Along the way, very successful in its mission, we and the world, have prospered immensely. But slowly, generation after generation we have lost much of our goodness, spiritual vigor, and clarity of vision. A faithlessness has overtaken America and the Church. We have been losing our spiritual life and replacing it with natural counterfeits. Often well intentioned, this human counterfeit of spiritual power is often called humanism or liberalism. At its core, liberalism is a faulty human response to a real or perceived need. It replaces God with government, and rather than promoting individual excellence it encourages human dependence (leading to slavery). It has a faithless view of the world. Old News - The New Sanhedrin

Parallel to spiritual developments happening in the world today are physical developments as well.  We are seeing new life in the Levitical economy of Israel.  We should expect it and welcome it.  The Bible admonishes us to 'pray for the peace of Jerusalem'.  Also, Romans 11:11 says, "Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious. {12} But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their fullness bring!".  We are seeing the foundations of a righteous Israel forming; among them are the Sanhedrin, the Temple, and the Priesthood.  Paul would be happy to see this happening and you should too.  It's a complex issue we'll explain as time goes on.  Here are some web sites of interest: the Sanhedrin (notice the first item on their "New Initiatives..."; that likely is an ominous indicator of fearful/wonderful things to come), some history; restoring the Sanhedrin ; and history of the Sanhedrin , and Temple activity: Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement ;and The Temple Institute .  Also, notice the Menorah video below.

Where is the first menorah in the Bible?  It lights the way to the hidden treasures of end day prophesy.  Even as we are discovering the hidden metaphysical  menorah, many are preparing the physical Temple Menorah

Demographics

Below is a sobering video on Muslim demographics in Europe and N. America over the next 7 to 40 years. (Note: The video, while shocking, has its bias and is unclear at times. These kind of long range prognostications seldom play out as scripted. I'm sure even the authors would agree with that. There are many complex factors that could speed up or slow down the projections. But what is evident is that our world is changing rapidly. This is consistent with Biblical prophecy. I would just like to make a (perhaps controversial) comment without explanation at this time. We should remember that Islam and the Arabs are connected to Abraham (however distorted), and the twelve tribes of Ishmael were/are ‘blessed’ by Abraham. Therefore we should look deeper to see how the rise of Islam will be used by God to bring about his kingdom. In fact I will make this claim: Islam is the first wave of the kingdom of God. Here's a fascinating video from wejew.com about the latest archeology on Jericho, Israel.  It's an old old story.  No, not the one about "Jesus and His glory", but the one about how anti-Bible scholars deliberately or incompetently misrepresent archeological history, until the real facts come out and affirm the Bible.  Note the ending, it's especially startling.
